Improper care

Air filters are located in the indoor unit of the air conditioner directly under the front panel. This is a fine plastic mesh that collects particles of dust, wool, pollen and other larger debris in the air. If the filters are clogged, the air conditioner not only blows badly. The operation of the compressor becomes more complicated, the load on it increases and there is a risk of breakdown.

The air is poorly cooled, frost may appear on the copper pipes. When the machine is turned off, the frost melts and water drips from the body. Gradually, dirt enters the drainage system, the tube becomes clogged and all condensate flows down the wall.

Filter cleaning is a self-cleaning procedure. It must be carried out once every 2 - 3 months (depending on the amount of dust in the room).

Filters are easily removed, if heavily clogged, they can be soaked using special products or the simplest soap, and washed thoroughly. Next, they should be gently blotted with a napkin or allowed to dry and put into place. Filters in kitchen air conditioners are most likely to clog. Here you will have to resort to fat-dissolving agents, and you need to wash them much more often.

Lack of freon also leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the air conditioner. The equipment must be refueled regularly, once every 2 years. The need is indicated by the freezing of ice and frost on the mounts and tubes of the outdoor unit.
