Thus, when a room is heated by an air conditioner, all units operate at maximum load: at the highest resistance, temperature and pressure. As soon as the compressor stops, the pressure in all areas becomes the same. Cold oil moving along with the refrigerant through the pipes is often the cause of compressor breakdown. Therefore, it is very dangerous to start up the unit immediately after shutdown.

The winter kit somewhat mitigates the situation, preventing hypothermia and freezing of the freon line. However, even in this case, the operation of the air conditioner for heating is possible only up to -10 degrees outside.

Heating efficiency of inverter air conditioner

To eliminate the negative consequences of operation at negative temperatures, a new control system was created over the compressor using an inverter. Here the compressor only switches to low speed, without switching off at all. At low rotor speeds, the inverter air conditioner heats the room efficiently even in severe frost. This saves up to a third of electricity. About 10% of the resources are used to heat the oil in the crater. Thus, icing of the outdoor unit and its hypothermia are excluded.

Although at 0 degrees outside, the efficiency of heating a room with inverter and non-inverter air conditioners is the same, the lower the temperature, the better the performance of the inverters in comparison with their "ordinary" counterparts.
