Supply air conditioners not only create the optimal temperature in the room, but also provide the flow of fresh, cleaned air from the street. This is not a cheap pleasure, however, a healthy microclimate in a home or office is worth the additional investment. There are several options for air conditioning supply units.
Let's consider the most common ones.
Types of supply units
- monoblock;
- split systems with inflow function;
- ventilators.
Monoblock air handling units are installed outside the building.
This is the best option for supplying prepared air to the premises. But they are also more expensive than other types of supply air conditioners. The design contains an air heater that warms the air in the cold season. Its power is up to 2 kilowatts. With the help of a similar design, you can serve the entire apartment at once, spreading air ducts around the premises. Thus, for one apartment (small office or shop) only one air handling unit with air conditioning is required.
Monoblocks are of two types:
- Providing an inflow of purified and brought to the required temperature air. At the request of the client, only a coarse filter or a complex air filtration system can be supplied;
- Providing both air inflow and outflow with heat recovery. Such systems are much more expensive than the previous ones.
Ventilators are installed in each room separately. They do not change the temperature of the air supplied to the room in any way. The degree of cleaning depends on the type of filters installed in the ventilator.
There are window and wall ventilators. Some models are operated with a wireless remote control. These types of supply air conditioners also provide heat recovery.
Air conditioners with air supply
This is a separate group of air conditioners with an additional inflow function. The following types of air conditioners are produced with air supply:
- window;
- channel;
- split systems (some, for example, Daikin Ururu-Sarara).
For an apartment, the most convenient option can be considered a split system with air supply. Such models are also represented by Mitsubishi Corporation. Supply air conditioners combine all the conveniences of high-quality air conditioning (many modes, settings, a sophisticated filtration and ionization system) and fresh air supply from the street.
